Snow Days

So... yes it's only a few weeks before we leave to move to a tropical climate and yes ... we just bought Natalie some snow clothes. But do you see that face?! That makes it worth every penny (not too many of them - everything was on sale)!

She has loved being able to play in the snow and luckily we got just a little bit more today, Christmas Eve, before we head out tomorrow. Now we just wish that we had some snow clothes to keep us warm!

And check out these snow boots! Not very girly and they're massive but they keep her feet warm (and yes, they're on the wrong feet). She's 2! :).

Early Christmas in P'ville

Well, much more time has passed than I had hoped since my last blog but our lives have gotten hectic. Besides the busyness of the Christmas season we're finishing up packing to head to Delaware to spend time with Tim's parents before we leave for Singapore on Jan. 14th. All very exciting and exhausting!

Danielle was able to take the kids to see her parents in Placerville, CA one last time before we leave. Tim stayed ho
me to pack and finalize some details that is hard to do with 2 little ones around. I swore that that would be the last time I travel by myself though! An infant that has to be carried, an independent 2 year old that won't hold your hand, a diaper bag with all enough supplies to cover anything from poopy diapers to boredom, and a car seat... at least I can say that I did it and I survived!

We had a great, relaxing time with Grammy, Papa, and Aunt Michelle though it was hard for us all to say goodbye. We love you guys and we really hope to see you in Singapore! Enjoy the pics.

Kids on the go

Since "The Whetpebbles" parents (a.k.a. Whetstones) have been traveling so have the kids. . . But we wanted to just give you a quick glimpse as well as say thanks to all the friends who we have been able to share life together with recently . . . It's been wonderful to share some meal times, play times, and most definitely fun times no matter how the encounters were birthed.

I'll post a new slide show soon, but for now, we hope you like these few pics. Finally, thanks to everyone who was able to make it to Natalie's 2 year birthday party at Chick-fil-A. It was a wonderful time, and Natalie loved her gifts, the Choo-Choo train cake, but mostly, we think, playing in the playground with all the kids who came too!

Happy Holiday's to you all and we'll be back soon with another short post and more pics!

Peace.

The Inspired Artist

So... Natalie has become quite the budding artist. To her, the world is her canvas - the coffee table, the floor, her books, ... and her little brother! Two parents at home and we still can't seem to predict her next move. Praise the Lord for washable markers at least!!

Finally!

So I've finally joined the world of blogging... on behalf of my kids! Please don't expect too much but I'm hoping to keep family and friends updated on the more personal side of ministry and focus on our kids, Natalie and Jeremiah, and how they're growing and all that they're learning (and teaching us). In January we'll be moving to Singapore and we're hoping that this way, those that want to can keep up with the kids.

So... here goes!

Natalie just experienced her 2nd Halloween. We couldn't have asked for better weather and although we worked all day on saying "Trick or Treat" all that
friendly neighbors got from her when we got to the door was a stare - maybe next year! And she wasn't too keen on the idea of putting her candy in the bag but instead insisted on clinging to it for dear life proclaiming loudly "MINE!" when we tried to free up one of her hands (you can see her fist full of candy in the pic). Oh, the joys of toddlerhood! And who says we don't have a carnal nature?
And Jeremiah... he was an adorable penguin who slept the whole time!

I'm suffering the repercussions though.I thought it would be so cute to color Natalie's nose with a washable marker to add to her doggy costume. Well, try to explain to a nearly 2 year old that you're only allowed to color on your face one day a year! So lately, everytime she colors her nose ends up a different color. Praise the Lord for washable markers.

Natalie still wanted to dress up the next day so we put on last year's penguin costume and she couldn't get over looking at herself in the mirror.
Well, hope you enjoyed the pics. I'll try to keep up with news and fun stuff.

Blessings!
